Greening the Church Confrence

Last night I had the pleasure of attending a Greening of the Church's Conference at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. The way I felt can only be described as "relief". Relief to see other Christians who care about Social justice and how "greening" relates to social justice. These issues are not separate issues at all. There were people there from their teens (okay only one) to what I would guess would be eighty's. My estimation would be about 60% were Methodist, 25% Episcopal, 10% Presbyterian, 3% no denomination, 1% Unitarian, 1% Baptist. I had chills just knowing that other people of faith were finally talking about this.
Many other Church's have what they call "green teams" now. What a great idea, wish I had thought of that one. You know that feeling when you realize your not the only one who __________ (fill in the blank, that's how it felt last night. There were lots of resources, probably my favorite thing about these types of gatherings. I plan to continue going and may even work on a "green team" in the future if my church will have it.

Look to your left for a new list of resources.

Blessings,
Courtney'
